CANTERBURY BELL HOTEL REVIEW

We all love a good weekend away. A mini break away from it all. Gina and I took a little trip to the coast. We chose a little hotel near Broadstairs which blew us both away.
First of all the hotel was near a massive shopping centre so we didn’t have to go far for anything we’d forgotten and there was plenty to keep us entertained whilst we waited for our room.
See the video below
We managed to book a disabled adapted room, there were two rooms available with lots of non-adapted ground floor rooms.
The room was great, really big with wide doors and lots of space around the bed. As usual there was one predominant space beside the bed with the other side closer to the wall, meaning the wheelchair user has full movement around the side of the bed. There was enough space to move between my wheelchair and frame which makes life a lot easier!
The bathroom was great, a nice wide door with low handle and an assistance rail on the back of the door, making it easy to close. There was a open roll in shower and wet room with a seat inside the shower for anyone who wishes to transfer.
The only issue with the bathroom was that there was not much storage space for your toiletries, which proved a lot of balancing issues.

Opposite the hotel was a lovely little pub. There was access around the pub as well, with flat access and a disabled toilet. We had breakfast it the pub and it was delicious. There was a large variety of food for a very decent price, so an easy option for local food.
Overall the hotel was great, really comfortable and great disabled access. I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars and 100% reccomend.
